Liz Scheier recently joined Del Rey, the science fiction/fantasy division of Random House. She came to Del Rey from the New American Library, a division of the Penguin Group USA. There she acquired mainly science fiction and fantasy for the Roc imprint, but also worked with thrillers, humor, popular culture, and works of GLBT interest. Prior to that, she spent four years at the Bantam Dell Publishing Group. She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College, where she studied English literature and thereby rendered herself blissfully unemployable in any other field.
