Since joining Touchstone in 2007, Michelle Howry has specialized in acquiring and editing commercial nonfiction featuring fresh voices and strong platforms. Recent projects include the New York Times bestseller A Little Bit Wicked (by pint-sized Hollywood diva Kristin Chenoweth), the New York Times bestseller The Bro Code, the book The New Atkins for a New You (which re-launched the bestselling diet franchise in 2010), and bestselling psychic Sylvia Brown (All Pets Go To Heaven; The Secret History of Psychics).

Several of her notable books include: Antiques Roadshow: Behind the Scenes (for fans of PBS's top-rated treasure-hunting reality show), Dangerously Funny (an authorized biography of "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" by NPR's Fresh Air co-host David Bianculli), and the upcoming Still Here Dancing (about the Dave Matthews Band and the cult of fans who follow them Grateful Dead-style across the U.S.) and JFK and the Unspeakable (a new look at his assassination and why it still matters today).

In addition to personal narrative and memoir, Michelle is looking for expert-driven practical nonfiction in areas such as health, self-help, personal finance, psychology, relationships, and parenting. She's a sucker for books about books and reading, (for example, Stylized--an exploration of one writer's obsession with the iconic Elements of Style), as well as history, biographies, and books about science and technology. And as an inveterate foodie, she loves any book dealing with the culture of eating, sustainability, and gracious living. For Michelle, editing a nonfiction book is like taking a "master class" from one of the top experts in the world...and she's always looking for new experts to learn from!
