Therese Fowler holds an MFA in creative writing from North Carolina State University, where she also taught undergraduate creative writing. Awards for her work include finalist for the Brenda L. Smart Fiction Prize, semi-finalist in the Faulkner-Wisdom Competition, and Honorable Mention for the Thomas Wolfe Fiction Prize.
After selling her debut novel, Souvenir, to Random House/Ballantine Books at auction in late 2006, she began writing fiction full-time. To date, her work is published in nine languages and sold in more than twenty-eight countries. It has been featured by IndieBound, Target's "Breakout" program, and both Barnes & Noble and Borders book clubs. She is the author of Souvenir, Reunion, and a third novel forthcoming in spring 2011.
