Included in the registration fee is one faculty critique. Each critique comes with a 20-minute appointment sometime during the conference. Every registrant may sign up for one of the following:
Standard length prose critique – 10 pages plus a one-page synopsis
Extended length prose critique – 30 pages plus a one-page synopsis
Poetry critique – up to five poems, for a total of no more than 10 pages
Plays/Scripts/Screenplays – 10 pages plus a 1-page synopsis
Appointment only (without critique of material read in advance)– a 20-minute appointment with a faculty member to ask whatever questions you like. These appointments are designed for the attendee who is not yet at a point where he/she has a manuscript ready for critique, or who, for any reason, prefers to not have a critique.
There are a limited number of extended length critiques available. Please register early to insure that you get one. Once they are all allocated, standard length critiques will be substituted. Everyone who registers who wants a critique will get one. When you register:
Indicate the type of critique or appointment that you want
Specify your first, second, and third choice for the faculty member who you would like to critique your work. Please check the list below to see the categories each faculty member is critiquing, and make your selections accordingly. Every effort will be made to insure that you get one of your choices, but please note that manuscripts will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis depending upon faculty availability.
After you complete the registration process, e-mail one copy as an MS Word or text attachment to Katie Griggs AND mail two hard copies of your submission to:
